Medical technology

Specific surface treatments for medical technology components have a dirt-repellent effect, protect against environmental influences, can be used decoratively and increase user-friendliness with specific coloring.
As an experienced surface coater in medical technology, we meet the high requirements for process stability and traceability.

Competence Center

Since its foundation in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1975, BWB-Ampho has specialized in the refinement of metals for medical technology. In doing so, the company offers a wide range of processes, including cleaning, passivation and merging of very small parts. As a sign of the highest quality, BWB-Ampho is certified according to the medical technology standard ISO 13485.

Plasma polishing

Plasma polishing and electropolishing are electrochemically ablative processes, for cleaning, fine deburring and polishing of stainless steels. Welds can be cleaned, tarnish removed and surfaces polished in one operation.

Anodising

Anodising aluminium converts the top layer of an aluminium component into a robust oxide layer. By means of decorative blasting, the aluminium surface is micro-profiled before oxidation, which further reduces germ adhesion.

Electroplating

Electroplating is an electrochemical process for metal deposition on metallic or metallized surfaces. BWB offers a wide range of technical coatings such as tin plating, silver plating, gold plating and chemical nickel plating.
