The Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, SIPBB for short, is just a few minutes’ walk from Biel/Bienne train station in the direction of the lake. The strikingly dark façade in BWB-Colinal 3180 sets the building apart from the surrounding buildings.

The building’s simple shell makes it hard to guess how diverse its uses are: event and office space, laboratories and shared meeting rooms. The SIPBB is a place for innovation and exchange between the private sector and research. A place where start-ups, innovative companies and universities work together under one roof.

The goal of the “Swiss Smart Factory” is to be a leading, internationally recognized center of excellence for application-oriented research and the transfer of Industry 4.0.
