Switzerland Innovation: Research and industry network here

The Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne, SIPBB for short, is just a few minutes’ walk from Biel/Bienne train station in the direction of the lake. The strikingly dark façade in BWB-Colinal 3180 sets the building apart from the surrounding buildings.

The building’s simple shell makes it hard to guess how diverse its uses are: event and office space, laboratories and shared meeting rooms. The SIPBB is a place for innovation and exchange between the private sector and research. A place where start-ups, innovative companies and universities work together under one roof.

Swiss Smart Factory

The goal of the “Swiss Smart Factory” is to be a leading, internationally recognized center of excellence for application-oriented research and the transfer of Industry 4.0.
With each new project, the environment should benefit from partners and knowledge.

Open spaces for flexible use

The different uses are also reflected in the design of the floor plans. Open spaces guarantee flexible use, which adapts to the changing needs of tenants. The heart of the building is the "Swiss Smart Factory". This test and demonstration platform impressively shows how new technologies will shape the production industry of tomorrow.
